Admissions

Welcome to National Sports Academy’s admissions page and thank you for your interest in our school!  NSA is a co-educational college preparatory school for young men and women dedicated to excellence in both academic and athletic endeavors. The school is comprised of highly motivated student athletes participating in different winter Olympic sports.  Our admissions staff provides careful attention to assessing an applicant’s athletic and academic ability as well as character and good citizenship.

NSA is a small school of approximately 80 students with an average class size of eight. We offer admission on a rolling basis, but space is limited, and we encourage students to apply during the fall or early winter of the prior school year.  We encourage interested students and families to come for a visit, experience the Olympic village of Lake Placid and spend some time getting to know our school community. During the visit, a prospective student will have an opportunity to train with our athletes in the morning and sit in on classes in the afternoon. The Admissions staff meets with each student and family to make sure you are well informed about us, and we about you.

Good luck in your search, and feel free to contact me any time either by phone or e-mail!

Sincerely,

Gun Rand
Director of Admissions
