Luge

National Sports Academy partners with the United States Luge Association to provide academic opportunities to elite athletes on the USLA Junior National, Junior Candidate and Development Teams.  We also offer a program for international luge student-athletes.
Program Highlights for International Luge Student-Athletes
Training
  • 9 Month dedicated Luge development program.
  • Physical training program, start house training, and daily sliding at the track from Oct - April.
  • Coached by USA's top luge coaches
  • Train with USA Development Team
  • Opportunity to race in all Jr and Youth A World Cups, under the wing of USLA.
Academic Program
  • Full school curriculum, with English as a Second Language program.
Location
  • NSA is in Lake Placid, only 7 miles from the luge track, 2 miles from the indoor start facility.
Residential Life
  • Live with USA's best high school age winter sport athletes.
  • Walking distance to downtown Lake Placid, the Olympic Speed Skating Oval, and the Herb Brooks Arena
